Además de ser esposa y madre, es mujer; y aprovecha al máximo el género. Es decir, Gerchy derrama femineidad.


Sus obras están llenas de luz. Quizá por eso utiliza piedras-joyas, mucho oro. Según Gergana, “El oro, su color, luminosidad, brillo, tacto; es un pedacito de Sol. Las piedras preciosas, sin embargo, son los verdaderos colores de la Tierra. Debajo y dentro de ella, está el negro. Y en él podemos verlo todo”.


 


La motiva la libertad, el brillo, el color, las formas. Genera un sinfin de texturas y movimiento.


Una vez, le pregunté: “¿Desde cuándo pintás, lo recordás? ¿Cuáles son las primeras imágenes que tenés de esa época?” Su respueta fue rotunda, rápida, casi sin pensar. “Hace trece o quince años. Me acompañaban algunos extraterrestres, gente y animales extraños. Yo no sabía que era genial hasta que comencé a pintar. Mis dibujos eran extraños, quizá como yo”. ¿Quién espera una respuesta así? Así contesta un niño, pensé.


Luego me dijo: - El arte es sentir. Pero hay que saber sentir. No miro, no veo. Intento quedarme sin pensar. Entonces, empiezo a moverme por dentro; y mi mano se mueve sola.


Luego de eso, comprendí. Arte, para Gergana, es una necesidad. Es sed de libertad. Es es sentir. Arte es sinónimo de vida.


 


Ella se piensa a sí misma como un ser lúdico. Esto se representa con exquisitez en sus obras.


El uso de los rojos-pasión y de los azules-profundidad, son su paleta cromática.


El equilibro caótico. La sencillez y la complejidad. Los polos opuestos. El uso lineal del negro. Toda su obra pende de un hilo, como si por un instante tendiera a caer, pero no.


 


Gerchy me preguntó si me animaba a escribir unas líneas, contar su currícula. – El viernes tengo que montar una expo en un hotel – me dijo – y me piden mi currícula, pero como sabes, viviendo en presente no tengo currículum. No me gusta pensar que alguien compra un cuadro por mi pasado.


Todos tenemos pasado. La diferencia es saber vivir en presente. Gergana y su obra son presente, son el instante y lo inmediato.


 


Para poder apreciar su obra, sólo es necesario posarse frente a ella, cerrar los ojos para  luego abrirlos, no pensar; y sentir. Así como lo hace Vladimirova.

Shipments from Argentina, Colombia or Cuba need of a special authorization for the exportation of artworks, so it is important to have this into account when calculating the delivery date.


Bear in mind we are dealing with works of art, so they may be in an exhibition (actually, this is awesome!). Those artworks which are in an exhibition are usually displayed as “non-available”. In case the artwork has been put up for sale, take into account the artist would have to manage with the organization of the exhibition the return of the artwork in order to be able to realize the shipment.
